FAQs

Is chiropractic care covered by insurance in Singapore?

Chiropractic care is typically not covered by the standard MediShield or Integrated Shield Plans (IP) in Singapore.

However, some private health insurance policies or employee benefit packages may offer coverage for chiropractic care.

If you are registered with MHC, chiropractic care with us is covered as we are in their approved panel of clinics. And we now bill your insurer directly, which means no out-of-pocket payment as long as your coverage covers the total cost of your visits.

It’s essential to check with your insurance provider to determine if chiropractic care is included in your policy and to what extent. Be prepared to provide proper documentation and receipts for reimbursement if applicable.

Do I need a referral letter?

You’ll need to check with your insurance company if you require to visit your local medical practitioner to get a referral letter before coming in for a spinal check-up.

What if my plan doesn't cover the full amount?

If your plan only covers a portion of the amount payable, we will still proceed with direct billing to your insurer for the covered amount (you don’t need to file a claim), and you just need to pay the balance.

Will I be charged for late notice/cancellation?

If your appointment time becomes inconvenient for you, we are always happy to change your appointment with at least a 24 hours notice. Failure to provide us with 24 hours advance notice or failure to be present at a scheduled appointment will result in a cancellation or no show fee. For more details, please refer to our cancellation policy.

Please understand that this allows us to schedule in a patient who may be in urgent need of our care. Failed appointments can sometimes interfere with providing the required care for all our patients.

How many chiropractic adjustments will I need?

The number of chiropractic adjustments needed varies from person to person and depends on factors such as your condition’s severity, how well you respond to the adjustments, and your health goals. Your chiropractor will discuss your individual care plan with you.

X-rays are done with our trusted radiology partners, ensuring you get the right care.

4. Your Spinal Health Report

In your follow-up session, we’ll walk you through the findings & X-rays (if any) in a straightforward, transparent manner.

I had the pleasure of visiting Dr.Nurul (@Tampines) for chiropractic appointments, and I must say that my experience was nothing short of exceptional. The staffs at Jurong are very welcoming and friendly. Waiting time is not very long. Dr Yusri and Dr Diana is also very caring and careful and will try to find out if there’s any issues we are facing during each visit.
