What is a sEMG scan?
The sEMG scan is an electronic form of palpation, providing an objective means of quantifying an important measure of your spinal health.
The scan is non-invasive and it does not cause pain or irritation. This makes it safe for children, pregnant women and seniors. It simply requires the placement of small electrodes against your skin.
How does sEMG scan reflect your spinal health?
Muscles compensate when in pain and/or spinal subluxation is present by tensing up to brace and guard. The scan objectively documents this pattern of muscular guarding. The data helps establish a baseline for paraspinal electrical activity.
What do the results mean?
sEMG scan results will indicate levels of tension differentiated by colour indicators, and muscle imbalance.
