3 Simple Things to Improve Your Work Productivity in Office

3 Simple Things to Improve Your Work Productivity in Office

It’s not easy to manage a team or a department. There are deadlines and target budgets to match, and people can be complicated and at times difficult to work with.

There may be many hats you have to wear, a variety of things you have think about, and let’s face it, many people you have to please.

Being a leader can be stressful; it may seem that you have a ton of weight to bear on a daily basis.

Let us help you out.

Here are 3 simple things you can do to help improve the productivity and satisfaction of your team or department.

1. Organize Healthy Events or Activities

Tired of scheduling boring team dinners? Sharing a meal can be enjoyable, but let’s think outside of the box. How about an educational and rewarding team bonding experience?

Many companies tend to overlook the health and vitality of their employees. A healthy staff is a productive staff, so health promotion initiatives can pay large dividends.

Have you heard your staff complaining about?

Pain and symptom can dampen a person’s mood, motivation, and overall productivity at work. Does your colleague sitting next to you down an aspirin on a daily basis? Medicine may temporarily relieve the pain they are experiencing, but does not deal with the core reason to their pain. In the long run, it may cause their pain to exacerbate and expedite an occupational burnout.

Chiropractic has an extensive track-record of helping people feel better and perform better in their lives.

We do free health talks for companies and organizations to help people understand the many benefits of chiropractic care.

2. Stretch and Exercise as a Team

Sitting in front of your computer, straining your eyes, and being bombarded with continual mental stress can take a toll on your body and mind.

We are not designed to sit at a computer for hours on end, day after day, week after week, year after year. Sitting for long periods of time can damage your posture and weaken your spine.

This stress can lead to a variety of pain and symptoms.

Do some simple stretches as a team before a meeting, or create a notification buzz to remind your team to stand up and stretch at periodic intervals throughout your workday.

Move your body on a regular basis to dissipate muscle tension and to improve blood flow. The more you move, the more energy you’ll feel.

3. Stock Up on the Snacks!

Last but not least, SNACK! This may seem like an odd bit of advice, but we’re not talking about gorging on potato chips, Oreo cookies, or fried prawn crackers.

Focus on nutritious brain food like raw almonds, cashews, Brazil nuts, pumpkin seeds, fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats.

Stay away from sweet treats and processed/packaged snacks. Eliminate sweetened beverages like soda, energy drinks, and sweet teas.

Eat real food, not fake food. Snack before you are hungry to maintain a steady level of energy. If your office has a pantry, make sure more healthy alternatives are provided to boost the energy of your team.

Good nutrition will help your brain to function better!

Bonus Tip:

It’s great to be active, stretch and exercise, and eat healthy. But there is one last tip to increasing everyone’s productivity.
